The 8th grade Lady Squires participated in the Caston Tournament today and brought home the championship trophy! The first game was against Caston. The girls played a clean game from start to finish with only 3 turnovers and outscored Caston in each quarter leading to a 38-13 victory. The final game was against Rochester. The girls started strong outscoring Rochester 16-0 in the first quarter. We gave back some of that lead in the 2nd quarter but led 19-10 at halftime. The 2nd half belonged to the Squires as they cruised to a 42-27 win in the championship game! Combined scoring for both games: Brynna Harshman - 5 Kerrington Hearn - 14 Delaney Harshman - 28 Ainslee Brubaker - 7 Kendall Lauer - 26 Lyra Spangle, Hattie Weaver, and Lizzy Baker all played valuable minutes contributing to the victory!
