The 7th grade Lady Squires traveled to the Caston Tourney today. In the first game the Lady Squires put together a strong all-around effort to earn a 45–33 win over Caston, fueled by high energy and relentless defense from start to finish. Reagan Reid led the way offensively with a game-high 23 points, attacking the basket and setting the tone. Delaney Burgess provided a big boost with 14 points, while Brenly Westendorf chipped in 6 and Charlee Bradley-Frantz added 2. Defensively, the girls played hard and stayed locked in, creating pressure and momentum that carried through the game. The team’s hustle, intensity, and energy on both ends of the floor were key factors in the well-earned victory. In the championship game, the Lady Squires faced Lewis Cass in their second game of the day and came up short in a 33–25 loss. The team struggled to find the same energy and defensive intensity that carried them in the first game, which proved to be the difference. Reagan Reid led the scoring with 14 points. Delaney Burgess added 4 points, and Brenly Westendorf added 3 points while Ayleah Ortiz and Grace O’Hara each chipped in 2. They will be back in action on Monday against Northfield.
