7th Grade Lady Squires End Season as RRC Runner Ups

The 7th Grade Lady Squires battled their way to a hard-fought 33–29 victory over Southwood in the RRC Tournament Semifinals, earning a spot in the championship game. It was an intense, back-and-forth contest from start to finish, with both teams competing hard on every possession. The Lady Squires showed great determination and refused to back down, continuing to fight through every quarter. Reagan Reid led the scoring with 12 points, while Delaney Burgess added 9 and Brenly Westendorf contributed 8. Charlee Bradley-Frantz chipped in 3 points and Ayelah Ortiz added 1 to help secure the win. The girls’ relentless effort, strong defense, and never-quit attitude proved to be the difference in the tight matchup and pushed the Lady Squires into the RRC Championship game. In the championship game, the Lady Squires faced a tough Lewis Cass team and ultimately fell 36–24. Reagan Reid again led the scoring with 14 points. Brenly Westendorf and Delaney Burgess each added 4 points, while Ayelah Ortiz chipped in 2. Although the championship result didn’t go their way, the Lady Squires showed tremendous effort and heart throughout the season. Their run to the championship game highlighted the growth, determination, and teamwork this small group has shown all season. The 7th Grade Lady Squires finished their season with a 11-6 record.
