The Lady Squires had another excellent day at the indoor state qualifying meet at Indiana Tech on Saturday. The 4x200 team of Raimi Vawter, Peyton Ream, Ava Simcoe, and Olivia Stevens placed 2nd overall and once again broke their own indoor record with a time of 1:52.38 and are headed to the indoor state meet next Saturday in Indianapolis. Vawter and Ream both placed third in the 60 m (8.12)* and 60 m hurdles (9.89) qualifying, as well. Kaylee Fetters is on the bubble, but it looks promising that her jump of 4'10 will get her to State. She placed third and team mate Sophie Cumberland earned 7th (4'8) in the high jump. Freshman Amara Everage improved her PR in the 60 m hurdles to 11.46 and placed 8th while the 4x400 team of Ream, Jocelyn Young, Stevens, and Vawter took 6th (4:35). All of the girls scored yesterday against some very tough competition. Nicely done, Ladies! The Squires will have their first outdoor meet on Tuesday at Central Noble. Go, Squires!
