The Squires were on fire at the HSR qualifying meet at Indiana Tech on Saturday with 4 events breaking indoor records. Carson Heath won the 60 m hurdles with a 8.36 breaking his own indoor record while team mates Eli Metzger (8.82) and Holden Poston (8.84) added a 5th and 6th place finish. The 4x200 team of Metzger, Poston, Heath, and Aaron Reid placed third and broke the indoor record in the 4x200 with a blistering 1:35.17 while the 4x400 team of Metzger, Poston, Oliver Fitzpatrick, and Heath placed 2nd with a 3:32.9. Korbin Presl broke his own indoor records winning the high jump at 6'7 and ending up 2nd in the long jump (21'5). Team mate Heath was second in the high jump at 6'3. All of these events will compete next week at the HSR finals in Indianapolis. Metzger also placed 7th for the Squires in the long jump (19'3) and Fitzpatrick earned a 4th in the 3200 with a time of 10:24. Team mate Wyatt Martin was 15th in 3200 (12:56). Dyllin Gwynn was 10th overall in the shot put (38'8) and Braxton Miller placed 16th (32'5). Gentlemen, we had a great day! The Squires face Central Noble at Central Noble on Tuesday for their first outdoor meet. Go, Squires!
