Varsity vs Huntington North (3 - 2) Win The Manchester girls tennis team won another close match Thursday, April 9, defeating Huntington North, 3-2. The Squires swept singles play with Myla Crozier defeating Riley Wilson, 6-2, 6-3 at No. 1 singles, Bethany Penrod cruising to a 6-0, 6-3 win at No. 2 singles against Elsa, and Chase Blevins winning, 6-0, 6-1, against Ruby Grogg. Manchester lost both doubles matches to the Vikings. At No. 1 doubles, Kait Schroll and Lexie Nichols lost to Huntington North's Hannah Skiles and Bristyn Bonewitz, 6-4, 6-7 (4), 7-5, and the No 2 doubles team of Ruby Martin and Lilyenne Sare lost to Jaicey Mayer and Lienna Pearson, 6-4, 6-1. The Squires improve to 2-0 on the season and host Fort Wayne Wayne Tuesday, April 14.
