Manchester boys lose to Maconaquah

The Manchester boys tennis team lost a 3-2 match to Three Rivers Conference rival Maconaquah Thursday night, Aug. 20. The Squires jumped out to a 2-0 lead with Caleb Struble-Hedstrom cruising to a 6-0, 6-0 win, with No. 2 singles player, Brendyn Mugford following with a 6-0, 6-0 victory over Maconaquah's Zach Duke. The No. 1 singles team of Graham Kreps-Miller and Charlie Van lost, 6-2, 6-2, while the No. 2 doubles team of Gatsby Gawthrop and Braxton Martin fell short, 6-3, 6-1. In JV play, Tate Harting won his first match, 8-7, and lost his second, 8-1. The Squires travel to the Bluffton Invitational Saturday, Aug. 22. Maconaquah 3 Manchester 2 Singles 1.
