The Manchester boys tennis team competed at the West Noble Invite Saturday, Sept. 5. The Squires were missing three out of seven varsity players and changed their lineup for the tournament. The Squires opened with a 5-0 loss to Bremen in the first round, with the No. 1 doubles team of Brendyn Mugford and Graham Kreps-Miller losing in a 3rd-set super breaker, 6-7 (6), 6-1, (10-5). Braxton Martin and Tristin each lost, 6-0, 6-0, in singles, while Gatsby Gawthrop and Tate Harting lost, 6-0, 6-0. In the second round, the Squires swept the doubles matches with Mugford and Kreps-Miller winning, 6-4, 6-2, and Gawthop and Harting pulling out a 3-6, 6-2, (11-9). Martin lost, 6-1, 6-1, and Sellers fell short, 6-1, 6-0. In the final round, Central Noble swept the Squires with Martin losing, 8-0, and Sellers going down, 8-3. Mugford and Kreps Miller lost, 8-1, and Gawthrop and Harting lost, 8-0.
