Squires Varsity Volleyball defeats Columbia City 3-1

The Squires varsity volleyball team defeated visiting Columbia City in 4 sets with the scores 25-18, 14-25, 25-17, 25-12. Multiple players had big nights attacking the ball led by sophomore Lacy Trump who had a career high 16 kills. She was followed by Izzy Renz with 11, Ella Peden with 7, and Ava Felgar with 5. Felgar also had 4 blocks on the evening followed closely by Peden with 3. Marysa Stroud led the backrow defense with 12 digs, followed by Izzy Renz (11), Peyton Ream (8), Myla Crozier (8), and Hadley West (7). Hadley West and Marysa Stroud had strong serving games with Hadley getting 3 aces and 11 service points and Marysa getting 4 aces and 12 service points. Peyton Ream continued to distribute the ball well totaling 39 assists. Before the game, we honored 3 seniors for career accomplishments. Myla Crozier reached 1000 career serve receptions. Peyton Ream broke the school record for career assists. And Hadley West broke the school record for service points (and actually broke the record for career aces in tonight's match as well.)
