The Lady Squires came out on top in a close 2-1 match against the Argos Dragons. Raimi Vawter got the Squires on the board early in the first half, breaking away and scoring off an assist from Chase Blevins. Ava Sautter, Ely Mobley, Elin Betten, and Samantha Shock each had good looks at goal throughout the half, but couldn’t quite finish. Defensively, Maggie Onderko-White, Chase Blevins, Brooklynn Grimes, and Olivia Stevens worked hard to shut down Argos runs. The Dragons were able to sneak in a goal before the break, tying things up 1-1 at halftime. The second half saw chances for both sides, with Cora Brown coming up with some key saves to keep the game even. With just three minutes to go, Maggie Onderko-White sent in a corner kick, and Olivia Stevens put it away to give the Squires the lead and the win.
