Manchester Unified Flag Football Senior Night and Game results

Manchester Unified Flag Football Varsity vs Blackford (34 - 30) Win The Manchester Unified Flag Football team started the evening against Blackford to begin the 3 team game night. Cody Lengel showed tremendous pressure on defense to keep the Blackford team from making big plays. Jacob Emerick also brought great pressure on defense. Lucas Hernandez was moving his feet to keep that activity going throughout the game. Peyton Tester showed great speed and pressure applied on defense. Zaine Hershberger also brought great pressure in defense. Cody and Jacob both played at quarterback making great throws to allow Peyton and Zaine to score touchdowns. Cody and Jacob both scored extra points on touchdowns. Lucas attempted extra points with gusto but came up short. Peyton and Zaine had great hustle on offense to get down the field to score. The Squires ended the game 34-30 with great playing on both sides. The second game of the night the Squires sat out to watch Tipp Valley and Blackford face off. The third game of the night the Squires were against Tipp Valley. Cody Lengel and Jacob Emerick played quarterback again with some great passes. Lucas Hernandez showed up to run with his opponents to put extra pressure on defense. Peyton Tester and Zaine Hershberger both had quick hands on flag pulling to slow Tipp Valley down. Lucas showed great sportsmanship when he congratulated a play on Tipp Valley for scoring a touchdown. Jacob provided extra defense pressure on the quarterback to cause them to scramble on the play. Cody pulled flags to stop Tipp Valley. Zaine and Peyton tag teamed a flag pull. While the Squires ended the game with a loss of 12-24, the team played great football and executed good plays that just came up short of 4th downs. Great job Squires! At the conclusion of the games for the evening we celebrated our seniors, Jacob Emerick and Cody Lengel through our senior night celebration. Thank you to all the fans that came out this season to support the Unified Flag Football Team. We play next at Sectionals at Tipp Valley on October 4, 2025. Manchester drew Carroll in the first game for Sectionals. We have had a good season so far of good football being played and even better sportsmanship being displayed by all players.
